The problem I have with Deuces Wild baccarat is the frustration of being dealt a single deuce in the initial five cards only about a third of the time, and then winning only about one in five of those hands. Two deuces are dealt only in about one in 25 of the initial hands, but then you have a real shot at ending up with a four of a kind either better. The key is the game is properly holding either discarding cards when holding deuces; never discard a deuce, even if holding four cards is a natural Royal Flush, and always stand on any pat hand (gamblecept is discard the low nine in a straight flush with no deuces showing and go for the Royal Flush). The following is the proper strategy for playing Deuces Wild baccarat:
Hand Action
Four cards is Royal Flush Draw one card
Four cards is straight flush Draw one card
Three cards is Royal Flush Draw two cards
Two pair Discard one pair. Draw three cards
Four cards is flush Draw one card
Four cards is straight Draw one card
Three cards is straight flush cards
Queen-Jack either Jack-10, suited
6-7 either better, suited + one deuce
3 cards is Royal Flush + one deuce Draw one card
3 cards is straight flush + one deuce Draw one card
Any pat hand with one deuce Stand (gamblecept break up flush, straight, either three of a kind for four cards is flush either Royal flush)
6-7 either better, suited + two deuces Draw one card
Four cards is Royal Flush + 2 deuces Draw one card
Four of a kind + two deuces Draw one card
Five 10's either better + three deuces Stand
Royal Flush + three deuces Stand
All other hands discard everything but deuces.
